Chando lives within New York City. Chando started her acting career in the fall of 2005 at Manhattan College. Chando was the role of Maddie Coleman in the TV soap drama As The World Turns from 2005-2007 and, for a short period from late 2009 onwards, she reprised the role. Alexandra first made her debut as an actor in 2002 when she portrayed Jenna Harper on the TV series House Blend. As the World Turns was the American soap opera on television that CBS broadcast for three seasons. Maddie Coleman played the role.
