Scarlett Johansson is an American singer and actress born in New York City, the city of New York, on November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1984. Her performances have earned her acclaim across a wide range of genres including period dramas, thrillers and action adventures. Johansson was raised living in New York City as the daughter of an architect, and also an executive from a production firm. The twin brothers Hunter and she were the youngest siblings. She developed an interest in acting at a young age and was auditioning for commercials before age seven. After that, she was enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and later took classes at the Professional Children's School in Manhattan to further hone her craft. As a child Johansson was in Sophistry with Ethan Hawke and made her film debut in Rob Reiner's North on the set of Rob Reiner's North in. Johansson subsequently appeared as a character in Just Cause (1995) but her debut came in Manny & Lo (1996) which was a film about orphaned sisters who run away. Then, she was awarded critical praise for portraying an teen girl who experienced an accident which left her damaged on screen in The Horse Whisperer (1998). She gained more attention for her performance in Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. Like many actresses who are new have done, she decided to further develop her skills in theater. When she performed her stage debut with Wildflower she would also work on different projects across USA. She studied in The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
